Hiya dA! I clearly fail at timeliness.

Overall, life's been...well, great. If you put aside the facts that my family's still insane and that I'm incredibly sleep deprived thanks to my AP homework, things have been going really well. I've been feeling good about myself. Things like a trip to Steak 'n' Shake, a small but significant Facebook-fueled event () and THE MOST AWESOME haircut ever have made me pretty happy and self-confident of late.

I PROMISE PRODUCTIVITY IS COMING. Eventually.

*Yawn* Nothing's happened that's been particularly interesting lately. My life has become so cluttered with homework and everything else that I haven't had much time to myself. Even now I know I should be studying for tomorrow's AP Government test and doing Physics equations (oh yeah, and I have to do some dishes too), but instead I'm here, typing away. Whee.

If you're wondering why I haven't uploaded anything in a while (and you're probably not), it's because the computer on which I'm currently typing ended up infected with an annoying virus, and I couldn't use it until we got some new antivirus software. And since this is the only computer in the house with a scanner, I can't upload unless I have access to it. But it's back now, so expect a few drawings in the near future. (Again, you probably didn't care.)

But there are a few things coming up I'm excited about. It turns out I can't go to AWA because of some unfortunately-timed circumstances, but I still have a couple of things to look forward to. For example, I'm hopefully gonna be able to go see Colin Mochrie's and Brad Sherwood's live show next month!

Well, I'm off for now. I must get brain food to somehow motivate myself to study.

I'm officially going to AWA!

I'm excited. I'll be hanging out mostly with and . I've still got about a month to get ready, but I've got a bunch of things to do. Like actually get a table so that I can sell stuff. And then there's actually making stuff to sell. And maybe if I get the courage (and time and materials) I might do some sort of cosplay. Of course, I'd have to decide what I wanted to do first. So yeah, I've got lots of preparations to make.

As for the real world? Things are pretty boring. I still haven't finished my lit projects. Today I'm going over to my grandmother's old house up in Athens and spending the night there so that I can help clean and stuff. But I get to go to Fry's today on the way there, so it's all worth it.

Well, anyway. I should probably go eat something (is it weird that I actually sometimes forget to eat?) and get ready to go.

Maybe the rest of this year won't be as boring as the first half has been. At least geekily speaking. (Try saying that word; it's fun!)

To begin with, a bunch of super cool new games are coming out that I must buy, including (dum dum dum) Spirit Tracks! My Zelda fangirlishness can't stand the wait until December! Thankfully, there's a new Mario game coming out for DS this fall to keep me happily entertained until then.

Oh, but guess what else? I might be going to AWA this year (Anime Weekend Atlanta, to those of you who're uninformed). We still don't have concrete plans yet. I'm hopefully going to be selling some plushies and the like there. AWA isn't until mid-September, so I have some time to make some new awesome ones.

But even with all this geeky greatness to look forward to, there are always foreseeable hurdles along the way. School is one main example. It starts on August 17.... (Just two more years til college. Two short years. *Sigh*) And speaking of school, I still need to read three books and do projects for them for my AP Language class. That won't be fun. Oh yeah, and I still have to find my Spanish III book so that they won't charge me $85 because I lost it....

So yep, that's what life will probably be like for the next few months.
