Colored pencil on 8x11" sketch paper.
It's what my cat does all day, every day: sleeps in that chair. She's cute and doesn't move around a whole lot, so I figured, why not use her as a model for a portrait? And I did. It took me about 12-15 hours to finish, and it was lots of fun! I may do more animal portraits in the future. I have to say, though, fur is NOT easy to draw.... Comments and crit are VERY much appreciated! (Pretty please?) |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
